After meeting and working with so many incredible Yorkshire wedding suppliers separately last year over the wedding season, I had an idea to put a shoot together that was one huge collaboration of new friends in the wedding industry, and something that was little bit different to the pretty, pastel 2019 wedding trend.
I was introduced to Bronte, the Event Manager at Skipbridge Country Weddings through a good friend, after a successful pub quiz together and a chat about what we did over a gin and tonic, Bronte invited me up to York to see her family run venue. It’s the most unique wedding venue, situated in the heart of North Yorkshire with acres of outside space, quirky features and the perfect setting for a creative shoot.
Over the following months I pulled together a team of suppliers whose work I knew would compliment the country venue. I don't want to bang on with too many descriptive words (I know you came for the pics) but I do briefly want to mention the floral styling. Emma’s natural inspired floral designs were always going to be at the centre of the shoot (because wow), we went for a rich colour palette of soft caramel, mocha, yellow and rose pink. Her attention to subtle detail from arching, dancing stems, to untamed foliage made for the most incredible flower arrangements.
Thank you to this fab team (listed below, have a stalk, they're all ace), I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work alongside, the weather stayed dry (thank you England) and, as cheesy as it sounds, the friendships that came from this collaboration are so special. The final images are everything I could have hoped for and certainly show the time, effort and love everyone contributed.
So here it is - an outdoor creative shoot at Skipbridge Country Weddings featuring statement floral designs, a gorgeous warm colour palette, a wildly romantic Madi Lane Bridal gown, hand embroidered denim jackets and a 1950 vintage Defender.
